Documents required for a Canada eTA application
To obtain an eTA, you will need to have a passport from one of the 60 eligible countries.
Additional documentation may be necessary as the visa waiver requirements have not been finalized. The visa waivers will be attached to a specific passport which means that the same passport will need to be used for the application and for entering Canada. Applicants with more than one passport will need to keep this in mind.

When will I receive my eTA?
After you have completed the online eTA Canada form and paid the fee, you should get a response within a minimum timeframe of 72 hours. While the vast majority of Canada eTA applications will be quickly processed and approved, it is always advised to apply for an eTA as soon as you have secured your travel plans.
